The beach of the Pointe Marin
The beach stretches over a kilometer and a half between the cemetery of the village of Sainte Anne and the Club Med Les Boucaniers. It offers a real postcard setting with its fine blond sand, bordered by calm and clear waters. The shallow water makes it a privileged swimming spot if you are a family with children.
The coconut and grape trees that line the beach will allow you to sit in the shade, or to hang your hammock quietly. Some people even take advantage of the shade to play petanque. From the beach you can enjoy a view of the hills and the Diamond Rock. And if you stay until the evening, the sunset from the beach is splendid!
Activities available
You can take advantage of your visit to practice nautical activities. Indeed, the popularity of the beach and its proximity to Club Med have attracted many clubs. For example, you can take off from the pontoon, which marks the entrance to Club Med, for a water ski tour. If you're not into water skiing, there are other options. Don't hesitate to contact the rental companies on the beach: windsurfers, jet skis, catamarans, kayaks... You'll find what you're looking for to enjoy the clear waters of the bay.
For scuba diving enthusiasts, several clubs will take you to discover the bay's seabed or the Diamond Rock. If you prefer to stay on the surface, the clear waters will facilitate your snorkeling exploration, but the seabed is less interesting than on other beaches.
In general, the beach is very lively with families and groups of friends. The street vendors that crisscross the beach complete the picture. They offer pareos, swimsuits, costume jewelry and other souvenirs from the island of flowers.
