It is more visited by locals than by tourists, ideal if you are looking for some peace and quiet. It remains little frequented on weekends and even less during the week. This is why the beach is considered the quietest of the commune.
On this beach of Martinique, you will be able to place you or good seems to you... Directly in the sun with the contact of the blond and hot sand, savouring the subtle touches of water on your skin. You can also choose to place yourself in more shaded corners, generated by the dense vegetation. So don't hesitate to hang a hammock among these clusters of grape and coconut trees.
The water is calm, clear and turquoise, perfect for long improvised swims. However, on the left side, it is not uncommon to encounter waves that can reach 1 meter. The current, even if rarely strong, may make you drift a bit. Especially if the weather conditions are not on your side. The most careful swimmers will stay on the right side. The more adventurous, however, will enjoy playing in these waves.
On the beach, it is not surprising to see picnickers enjoying their meal facing the sea. At the entrance of the beach, a very well known snack bar with bright and cheerful colors will be ready to welcome you.
To get there from the capital Fort-de-France, take the road to Sainte-Luce and then the road to the cove of Corps de Garde. The beach Fond Banane is located just before the Corps de Garde.
