Indeed, the Guinguette offers an impressive view of the majestic Mount Pelee. This panorama is loved by all, it is often photographed by tourists.
From the light sandy beach, which is amazing in the north of the island, you will see pretty colored boats in anchorage. You will also see off shore, fishermen perched on skiffs.
The beach is shaded by rare trees, but visitors prefer to shelter from the sun under the roof of an old guinguette. That's why the beach has that name. It is nice to take shelter there to picnic while admiring the panorama.
The water is calm and of an irreproachable transparency, ideal to swim there. However, be careful with small children, as sudden waves can appear.
The beach of Saint-Pierre is a privileged place for diving enthusiasts, thanks to the recent but also older volcanic activity of Mount Pelee.
The eruptions of the mountain have created an incredible biodiversity in the sea. In addition, many shipwrecks lie dormant in these famous sea beds, housing a unique marine ecosystem. You will discover many species of fish, corals, and shells.
After this discovery under the sea, you will be able to eat at a restaurant located not far from the beach. The restaurant offers a large choice of fresh products, such as fish caught the same day.
