How to get there?
The ideal choice of transportation to make the trip is by car. You can rent a car in Fort-de-France before hitting the road. To get to Anse Turin, you have to go to the town of Le Carbet. There are two routes to get to Le Carbet from Fort-de-France.
The first route includes a passage by the sea coast through Case-Pilote and Bellefontaine. The second route includes a passage by the N3 through the city of Saint-Pierre. A few dozen meters separate Fort-de-France from Carbet. The journey will take you between 40 minutes and 1 hour. At the exit of the town of Carbet, you will find Anse Turin.
The beach of Anse Turin
Anse Turin is well worth the effort to get there. A beautiful beach with fine light gray sand and one of the most panoramic views of the peninsula. It is known to be the landing point of the famous traveler Christophe Colombe. Legend has it that during his fourth voyage in 1502, his boat ended up on the shores of the beach. L'Anse Turin is a perfect blend of maritime and volcanic beauty.
Several activities are available at Anse Turin. It is an ideal destination for water sports lovers. We also recommend it for family travelers and tourists looking for relaxation and tranquility.
You can swim in its calm water, sip your cocktail while sunbathing under the beautiful sun, but also organize a picnic with your friends while chatting with the street vendors! Don't worry about your rental car, the beach has parking.
You can also go scuba diving! Thanks to its calm water, you will be able to see clearly under the water. However, be careful with the water level, the tide is very high. Also keep in mind that the road passes by the beach, you may hear some horns. Nevertheless, Anse Turin remains an excellent destination in Martinique.
