Pointe Chaudière beach is located in the commune of Le Vauclin, on the southeast side of the island. It is named after the tragic fate of a boat named "Le Mississipi". This boat is now a wreck stranded off the coast. Note that sometimes, when the weather permits and the tide is low, one can still see the path of the wreck.

This place is very popular with locals and tourists for its beautiful scenery. The beach facing the Atlantic Ocean is made of pebbles. The curved left side of the beach offers us the beautiful view of the high rocky point dotted with different plant species.
What makes the charm of this paradisiacal corner, it is the great palette of colors which is offered to you. Indeed, besides the rocky peak covered with green, admire the atypical color of the sea. This one is obviously blue, but subtly, it is a graceful mixture of emerald green and turquoise blue.
Note also that you can also make an eco-excursion on board a dugout canoe, accompanied by passionate people of the island. They will teach you a lot about the beach, its origin and history, but also its ecosystem. In addition to admiring the pebble beach from your canoe, the guides will be at your side to take you to the heart of beautiful natural landscapes. Impossible not to take photographs.

What to do or see in Le Vauclin ?
- The wind power plant of Morne Carrière (the only wind turbines on the island)
- The Mountain of Vauclin and its calvary
- The Pointe Chaudière
- Bust of Louis-Joseph Landa (Market place)
- Pointe Faula and its white bottom. Protected by a coral reef, Pointe Faula is a very popular beach for the Martiniquais because the sandy bottom is barely covered by a few tens of centimeters of water and sinks from the edge to the Fonds Blancs in the middle of the lagoon, making it possible to reach them by walking. Another advantage of this beach is that its water is one of the warmest in the Caribbean.
- The beach of Petite Anse Macabou (beginning of the hike "Trace des Caps")
