The place is sometimes called the Bay of Surfers. A name that you will judge appropriate when you see the waves and rollers breaking on the beach. Unsurprisingly, swimming is not allowed here, due to the danger of the rough waters. It is however, a place appreciated by the most experienced surfers.
However, the spot is not recommended for beginner surfers. If you are not an experienced surfer, don't worry, the ride alone is worth it. Coming for a picnic, or just a walk at Anse Charpentier will give you a great experience thanks to the wild beauty of the place.
