What to expect with Simone

I propose a half-day visit of the Habitation Clément in Le François, on the Atlantic coast.
It is one of the most beautiful houses in Martinique, with a 16ha park of tropical trees and plants that we will discover together!

I will tell you about the exploitation of the sugar cane and then we will discover the ageing cellars of the rum. We will visit the big colonial style house, with its furniture, its original tiles and its annexes too: the kitchen, the stables, etc. You will learn about the history of Homère Clément and his descendants, who founded and expanded the Clément Rum distillery, and the more recent history of Habitation Clément and its rum brand.

Why not also discover the process of distilling agricultural rum. All this by visiting the industrial archaeology site where the old machinery for the production of rum, such as the old distillation columns, are kept.

Finally, I will take you to the Habitation Clément shop, where you will be able to do a guided tasting with me and the shop's bartenders. It will be an opportunity to buy some good bottles, if you feel like it!
