So fasten your seatbelts and let the adventure begin!
Arriving at the airport of Lamentin, you have only 15 minutes to the capital, Fort-de-France. Ideal to rest for a while and then it's off to discover the Fort-de-France market! An unparalleled immersion in the heart of the island's culture awaits you.
In the afternoon, go to the Balata garden, 45 minutes from Fort-de-France. Discover the botanical heart of the island, a real treasure of local flora not to be missed! It is not for nothing that Martinique is called the island of flowers.

Day 2 : Saint-Pierre & Memorial of the 1902 disaster
For your second day in Martinique, we invite you to visit the ruins of Saint-Pierre, a place heavy in emotions. The ruins are more than a century old, they are the remains of the volcanic eruption of 1902. Wander the alleys and stairs of mystical places long since razed. The ruins of the church, theater and houses that survived 100 days of fire await your visit.
Then continue your day at the 1902 Disaster Memorial. The museum traces the disaster through the ruins and other artifacts of the incident. Explore the rich history of the island and of 20th century St. Pierre through the museum's audio books.

Day 3: Depaz Distillery & Banana Museum
Just after walking through the ruins of the 1902 eruption, visit the Phoenix that rose from the ashes. The Depaz Distillery, totally destroyed by the eruption, was reborn thanks to Victor Depaz. You can enjoy a very detailed tour of the whole process. All this in the middle of the best rums of the Caribbean! And they are not for nothing! The secret ingredient (shh...) is the water from the Roxelane River. Don't pass up the chance to take a look at it.
Did you know that there are more than sixty species of bananas? You can learn about them all by visiting the Banana Museum. Forget the artificial flavors of the species imported in Metropolitan France. Discover the banana authenticity (this word does not exist indeed). But it is the most adequate to bring you closer to the image. Banana tasting is an integral part of Martinique's culture.

Day 4 : Habitation Saint-Etienne & Presqu'île de la Caravelle
The famous distillery, Habitation de Saint Etienne resides in the place of a former sugar mill. The site dates back to the 19ᵉ century. Discover the distilled agricultural rum, a tradition for which Martinique is famous. The distillery is located in Gros Morne. Stop by for an educational tour before arriving in the afternoon at the Caravelle Peninsula. A true protected nature reserve!
It's about time you got a taste of the Atlantic coast air! And that's exactly where the adventure takes you, to the Caravelle peninsula. A real little piece of paradise awaits you. La Caravelle is a dozen kilometers long and is home to the Morne Pavillon. Take your cameras, because at 189 meters high, you will have a breathtaking view of the whole island! Without forgetting the ocean of course.
Come closer slowly, I will share with you another secret! Between the Thierry islet and the Oscar islet in François, you will find a mythical place: the bathtub of Josephine, named after the first lady of Napoleon 1st, the place will not fail to charm you. You can reach it by kayak or by boat to spend unforgettable moments on the white sand and transparent waters. Try to start your day with, because in the afternoon, the boats steal the splendor of the natural spectacle.
Save the afternoon for a hike to the Savane des Pétrifications. Still in the commune of Saint-Anne, you will however feel like you are somewhere else. The Savane looks like a desert and has nothing in common with the rest of the island. No bright colors or exotic fruits. Walk through the barren area and imagine yourself in an Indiana Jones movie! The contrast with the rest of the island is sure to leave its mark.
Who says Martinique says Salines beach! Find the famous beach on the Grande Anse des Salines in Sainte-Anne. The pearl of Martinique, the beach of Salines is worthy of a postcard. The fine white sand, the clear sky, the row of palm trees surrounding it, everything invites you to rest for a day. A real paradise place. Yes, you must be tired after 5 days of adventure, it's time to relax. And what could be better than THE favorite spot for locals and tourists?

Day 7: Morne Larcher, Le Diamant & Cap 110
Well rested? Then let's start again with a spicy hike! Take the opportunity to hike to Morne Larcher. The former volcano now extinct is a real challenge to climb, but it is worth it! From a height of 478 m, you can see the whole of Diamant. And if it makes you want to go there... stay tuned, it's coming right away.
After the volcano, head to Cap 110, the 1998 historical monument. The city of Le Diamant took the initiative to build it on the 150ᵉ anniversaries of the abolition of slavery. A real pride of the locals! And the statues will make you dizzy with their 2.6 m height.
A day in the village of Anses d'Arlet is a must! The beach of Anses d'Arlet is one of the most famous. It is also very famous in all Martinique. The fine sand of this beach has charmed tourists from all over. It is the small corner typically Martiniquean where you can discover the local specialities. Don't miss the market of Anses d'Arlet, local fruits and vegetables are waiting for you, as well as Creole crafts and freshly caught fish. You can also spend the afternoon on a boat trip!
We suggest you the large beach of Anse à l'âne not far from the town of Trois-Îlets. With a length of 400 m, you will not be bored. The coconut trees are breathtaking and the water is calm and soft, perfect for a swim by the sea!
