What to expect with Renaud

Discover an authentic immersion in Martinican culture through our Culinary Workshop & Bèlè Dance Day. Start your morning at 9:00 a.m. with a spice harvest in the Creole garden, where you'll pick peppers, bwa thyme, basil and much more, for a true sensory journey to the heart of local flavors. At 10:00 am, take part in the Lakou A culinary workshop, where you'll learn how to prepare traditional dishes using local vegetables and condiments, as well as meat from the farm and fish of the day, cooked over a wood fire. At 12:00 pm, enjoy a Creole lunch including aperitif, main course and dessert, accompanied by local drinks.

In the afternoon, starting at 2:00 pm, immerse yourself in Martinican history and traditions with a workshop on Bèlè dancing, old-time musical games, and Lafouyetè, a traditional activity of tilling the soil to the rhythm of Bèlè. At 3:30 p.m., a gourmet break awaits you with local pastries and sweets, accompanied by péyi tea with garden herbs.
