Discovering the local industry in Martinique

What to expect with Meri

I'm taking you on a unique tour of Martinique to meet the local manufacturers.
On the program, we will visit local jam and juice makers, a small family farm and also a local distillery. All are located in some of the most rural communes of the island for a total immersion in the culture.

Our first stop will be at the Denel company where we will be interested in making jams and juices from tropical fruits. We will visit the factory, the pineapple field and also the honey production. Tastings are of course planned.
Then, we will visit Maïté's family farm to understand the farming methods they use to cultivate their land and the fruits and vegetables that grow there.
A picnic break at the river is planned. This will be an opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim.

And finally, to close this magnificent day, we will visit the Habitation Saint Étienne (19th century) where you can stroll through their magnificent botanical garden littered with statues and art pieces.

What to bring

A swimsuit (for swimming), comfortable closed shoes (obligatory for the visit of Denel), a cap, sunglasses, a bottle of water and sun cream.
