To spend a pleasant day of idleness in the sun, we invite you to discover the beach of the îlet Chevalier in Martinique. A small piece of land located a few miles from the peninsula of Sainte-Anne which is well worth the detour. Located in the southeast of the peninsula, in the Atlantic Ocean the islet is protected by a coral reef. A small uninhabited corner of paradise to come and discover for a day. As soon as you arrive on the pontoon, you will be welcomed by a superb small white sand beach and peaceful turquoise waters. A real invitation to swim.
The beach is shaded thanks to the shrubs and other mancenilliers which border it. Take advantage of the transparency of the water to explore the sea bed with your mask and snorkel. It is also the ideal place to enjoy the famous white bottoms, these underwater beaches located a few meters from the coast.
The islet is small and steep, but you can explore it thanks to the marked paths. A first path allows you to discover the islet by going around it. The opportunity to admire many points of view on the surrounding islets and on the Atlantic Ocean. A second path allows you to cross the islet from long to wide. In both cases the walk is easy and relatively short in a landscape of vegetation and cactus.
Islet Chevalier is also the starting point to the other small pieces of land around Sainte Anne. These sites are less popular than Islet Chevalier and therefore even less frequented, but you will enjoy visiting them.
Getting there : The departure is from the Ponton Chevalier on the peninsula of Sainte Anne. Get on board a shuttle, the trip is done in a few minutes since the islet is 500 meters from the coast.
